St Andrew's Church
Netherton is a town full of many churches of different denominations. At the top of the hill, and next to our school, is St. Andrew's Church. The church sits at the very highest point in Netherton and overlooks our whole town. At Netherton C of E Primary, we wear the cross of St. Andrew on our school sweatshirts and have a close connection with our church-next-door which is named after him. The church was formed on16th July 1830 when St Andrew's was consecrated and opened by the Lord Bishop of Worcester. Our church is led by Reverand Richard Hackett who also looks after the St. Peter's Church and St. John's Church. We get to call him 'Rev Rich' for short! We regularly visit our church to celebrate seasonal festivals and to invite families in to watch us perform our own services. Members of our church also come to visit us in school and are actively involved in the life of Netherton C of E Primary.
