Vision and Values
Our Vision 
At Netherton Church of England Primary School, our vision and values are at the core of everything we do and centre around the child.
We care about our children. We believe that all our children have a right, and a need, to feel accepted and loved, in order that they can grow. From the moment they walk through our door, we begin building a relationship with the child and their family, working together to ensure they are safe, happy and successful.
We believe each child is unique; we take the time to find out about & develop their interests, talents & personalities, and offer a wealth of extra-curricular opportunities and experiences to develop them.
We have high expectations & aspirations, we offer a broad, balanced & progressive curriculum; and we endeavour to provide all our children with the necessary tools so they ‘can do it.’ As an inclusive school, we are sensitive to and consider a child’s individual needs; we offer equity for all of our pupils. ‘Our aim is to ‘make a difference to everyone.’
Our Values
Our values are an important part of our school culture. They are the characteristics and behaviours that we teach, promote and follow. Pupils encounter these values throughout the school environment, their learning and their interactions. We positively reinforce these values through assemblies, conversations and how we treat & encourage each other. We celebrate those who demonstrate these values by awarding Dojos and certificates.

We are proud to be part of the Diocese of Worcester Multi-Academy Trust (DOWMAT), a small group of schools with a common goal - to make our schools the best we possibly can, to serve our communities.
The School Vision Explained
With God all things are possible (Matthew 19:26)
Our vision and values are at the core of everything we do. We will endeavour to provide our children with the necessary tools so they ‘can do it’. Our aim is to:
'Make A Difference to Everyone’- We aim to create an environment where there is no difference in the academic achievement and opportunities for spiritual growth between those who might feel undervalued, disrespected, or marginalised in society. We encourage our children to seek challenges and aspire to be the best that they can be, knowing they are loved and accepted for who they are, a unique child of God who is loved unconditionally.
In our drive and determination for ALL to be successful, it is our hope and through our words of wisdom that everybody can fulfil dreams to have the best chance of a happy future.
I am loved
11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 1 John 4 v 11
Our vision is first and foremost for every child to know and to believe that they are loved just as the Bible shows love to be. This is the foundation of all that we do at Netherton C of E Primary School. As the Bible teaches in 1 Corinthians 13 v 1, ‘If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.’
I am accepted
5 When Jesus reached the spot, he looked up and said to him, “Zacchaeus, come down immediately. I must stay at your house today.” 6 So he came down at once and welcomed him gladly. Luke 19 v 5-6
Our vision is secondly for all children to believe that they are accepted just as Jesus modelled in the way he treated the people he came across during his ministry. If we love our children, we will accept them.
I can grow
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Galatians 5 v 22-23
At Netherton C of E Primary School, we accept all children as they are but do not desire to leave them as they are. Our vision is for all children to believe that they can grow academically, personally and spiritually. Our vision is for the children in our care to grow in the Fruits of the Spirit and to fulfil all of the potential planted within them.
I can do it
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9 v 24
Finally, our vision is for all children to believe that they ‘can do it!’ When children know and believe that they are loved and accepted, and are planted in good soil and able to grow, the outcome will be developing a belief that they ‘can do it’.
